THE NEXT EXAM. THE YEARS BEYOND IT.

Prepare for the exam.
Build for what comes next.

PSLE and SEC matter. So do the habits your child takes into JC, university and working life: reading with understanding, reasoning with words and numbers, and explaining an idea with confidence. We work on the next assessment while helping those strengths grow.

Make the next step manageable

Find the gaps behind the marks and work through them, one clear goal at a time.

Keep more pathways open

Build language skills, mathematical reasoning and learning habits that support later subject and study choices.

Let interests grow

Connect what your child reads and learns with questions, ideas and ambitions of their own.

Where SLC graduates have continued their studies

From Singapore’s JCs and universities to Oxford, Cambridge and the Ivy League. Think beyond the next result: strong foundations create room for future choices.

Quick answers for parents

Are classes online or onsite?

English and Chinese classes have online and Marymount options, depending on the programme. Math, BBTP and AEIS classes are online. Start with an online conversation with our course team.

Which school levels does SLC support?

English, Chinese and Math support spans P1–P6 and S1–S4, alongside Higher Chinese and IP pathways. We also offer on-demand IB Chinese B and A-Level H1 Chinese online classes.

How do I choose a suitable class?

Use the programme finder to share each child’s level, subjects and goals. School and results are optional. A course advisor can then discuss the work your child finds difficult and suggest a suitable class.

Let’s plan your child’s next step.

Share their year, school and learning needs. Our Academic Strategist will help you choose a suitable starting point, online first.

SEC · G2 & G3

G2 support with greater rigour—and the step-by-step guidance to grow.

We teach G2 alongside G3, adapting explanations, task difficulty, pacing and feedback to G2 students’ needs. We aim to strengthen confidence at school while building towards the SEC examinations early—not by rushing through harder papers, but by making challenging learning manageable.

Secure the G2 requirement

Begin with the learner’s actual G2 syllabus, current schoolwork and recurring gaps. Break a task into clear steps and model the reasoning before independent practice.

Stretch with purpose

Use carefully selected G3-level material where it deepens a shared skill. Add prompts, worked examples or vocabulary support; reduce support as understanding becomes more secure.

Build confidence through transfer

Look for clearer explanations, fewer repeated errors and more independent responses to new tasks. Prepare progressively for SEC demands while protecting time to consolidate learning.

What adapted rigour looks like

English: move from a supported inference to an independently explained answer, or revise a modelled paragraph before writing for a new audience. Chinese: unpack a text’s vocabulary and evidence before asking for a deeper inference; develop an oral viewpoint through a reason and an example rather than memorising a script. Math: secure the concept and a clear worked method first, then use a carefully chosen stretch problem to develop application and explanation.

The Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) replaces the former GCE O-Level and N-Level examinations. G3 follows the former O-Level standard, while G2 follows the former N(A)-Level standard. We teach G2 students alongside G3 with extra guidance, a suitable pace and more challenging practice when they are ready. Lessons build school confidence while preparing each student for their own subject level.
